SURGERY AND PROCEDURES
As gynecologists we are trained to evaluate all female problems and concerns. Some women may require medications to improve their symptoms, while others may need simple procedures or even surgery. We will offer all alternative treatments, fully explaining them to you and guiding you through the process. We will be your partner in your health care decisions and continue to care for you after your recovery.
As Board-Certified Obstetrician Gynecologists, we are trained surgeons and perform minimally invasive surgery using the latest advances and techniques including laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and vaginal surgery for the treatment of abnormal bleeding, endometriosis, fibroids, pelvic pain, incontinence and prolapse. Using these minimally invasive techniques patients are able to go home the same day of their surgery and are able to return to their normal daily activities faster when compared to conventional open surgical techniques.
If you have symptoms or questions about symptoms that are concerning to you, please call to schedule a consultation so that we can discuss all possible options.
Some of our surgical services are listed below:
-
Total Vaginal Hysterectomy done as an outpatient. Our physicians have mastered a very unique technique in performing vaginal hysterectomies. This technique allows for patients to have their uterus, and if necessary fallopian tubes and ovaries removed vaginally versus abdominally, thus allowing for less risk of infection, faster recovery time and allover feeling better quicker. These hysterectomies are nearly always done as outpatients allowing a patient to go home the same day and return to work or normal daily routine sooner than a typical abdominal hysterectomy.
Minimally Invasive Surgery:
-
Endometrial Ablation by Hysteroscopy
-
Operative Hysteroscopy (removal of Polyps and/or Fibroids)
-
Permanent Contraception by ESSURE
-
For women who are certain their childbearing days are behind them, Essure permanent birth control is an alternative to surgical tubal ligation. Unlike surgical sterilization procedures, Essure involves no incisions, hormones, cutting, burning or risks of tubal ligation.
It is a minimally invasive procedure that we perform at an outpatient in about 35 minutes. Essure is permanent and not reversible.
